Evidex Alerts are safety related news items generated by Advera’s analyst team which are emailed to interested users. These Alerts cover FDA safety labeling changes and new safety issues from quarterly FAERS reports, paired with actionable insight provided by our team of analysts. This Alert system provides news and analysis regarding drug safety for marketed products. The alerts listed in this tab will only show Alerts related to the drug (in this example for Invokana). The Alerts cover:
FDA Drug Safety Labeling Changes: These safety labeling changes must meet the following criteria: They must contain at least 1 AE (MedDRA Preferred Term) that is "Labeled" for the first time and has at least 1 PS case in FAERS.
Each Alert will contain information on what safety relevant news happened, paired with analysis using the proprietary analytics featured in Evidex. The alerts will be sent to a user’s email address, and preferences for Alert settings can be edited once logged in to Evidex. Users can choose to receive Evidex Alerts on a daily, weekly, or immediate-release basis.
How to Edit Evidex Alert Preferences
Step 1: Log in to Evidex, and click the blue Account button in the upper right-hand side of the screen, then click "Edit Alert Preferences." Here users can select timing of emails, and which type of updates to receive. Click "Submit" to save user preferences. To receive alerts about a specific list of drugs or companies only, follow steps 2-4 below.
2: Next, click on the TOOLS icon at the top of the screen, and select either "Formulary" or "Portfolio" from the drop-down menu.
3. Users can click the blue “Create New” button to name the Portfolio/Formulary list. Then click “Create” to save the new portfolio list name.
4: Users can type the name of the drug they want to add (if generic, there may be more than 1 drug to select) or a drug company, then click the blue “Add” button next to the names they would like to select. The user’s list will appear on the right side of the screen. The yellow “Delete” buttons can be used to remove a drug or company from the portfolio list.
Users can create a copy of a Portfolio/Formulary list by clicking the blue “Copy” button. Users can delete an entire Portfolio/Formulary list by clicking the yellow “Delete”button above the “Portfolio Companies” list section. A Portfolio/Formulary list can be shared with other users within the same organization by clicking the blue “Share” button. The other users will not be able to edit the shared Portfolio/Formulary list.
5. When the list is complete, a user can hit the red “Launch Formulary/Portfolio” button. Users can then go back to Step 1 to select to receive only alerts pertaining to their preferred Formulary or Portfolio list.
