As of Evidex 1.47, the Compliance Monitor is the new default landing page for Evidex Signal Management. The Compliance Monitor can be used for an at a glance summary of all of the urgent day to day tasks that staff and managers should be aware of.

The default time period used for aggregate counts throughout the Compliance Monitor is ‘All time’, but this and other criteria can be change by using the Time Period, Products, Users and Record Type filters at the top of the page.

There are 5 panels included in this dashboard module: Calendar, “What’s Due?”, Team Activity, Snapshot and Signal/Inquiry Activity. Each of the panels contains aggregate counts of records by due date, most of which can be clicked to view each of the underlying records. For more information on what constitutes a “due date”, see the bottom of this section.

The calendar panel is a display of the products and their actions and reviews that need attention by a due date. The number of daily events and their product names are summarized on the daily event labels, with a prefix of “Act” for actions, “SDP” for Signal Detection Plan Reviews or “MR” for Management Reviews. Due to space limits, these labels may be truncated for readability, however users can click a specific day to show further details of the actions and reviews due for that day. Clicking these items will bring you directly to the action or review page.

The What’s Due? Panel shows upcoming and past due Actions, SDP Reviews and Management Reviews with the ability to click counts to show a list page showing the underlying records. Counts for records due within 2 days and records that are past due should show in red if greater than 0. The bottom section of the panel shows a summary of previous review dates and expected next data refresh date split out by data source type (ICSR and EVDAS).

The Team Activity panel shows counts of Actions, Management Reviews and SIgnal Detection Plan Reviews split by team users, with an aggregate row for the entire team as the top row. Each of the counts displayed represents a count of records, with the exception of the ICSR Views column. This column shows the number of times the ESM -> Surveillance tab has been accessed by users. Counts will not have links as it is not a count of actual records.

The Snapshot panel shows a nested donut chart of Signals, Inquiries and Request counts. The Inner ring shows a breakdown of the base type of Signals, Inquiries or Requests while outer ring shows a further broken-down count of Signal, Inquiry or Requests subtypes. Clicking a series on the chart will bring the user to the corresponding list page filtered to represent the counts shown on the chart.

The Signal/Inquiry Activity panel shows a time series of record counts by status. Status is inferred by date logic as follows:

· Closed (Pre-Detection) signals are excluded from the chart.

· For all signals where the signal detection date falls in a particular month, that signal will be counted as “new” for that month.

· Each Signal or Inquiry will be counted as ongoing for each month that there is a detection date and no closure date.

· Signals and Inquiries will be counted as closed for the month of the closure date.

Clicking a series will redirect the user to a list page with the proper filter criteria automatically applied. Users can click subtypes shown in the chart legend to hide individual series.

Due Date

The date filtering capabilities of the Compliance Monitor and what has been referred to as “Due Date” throughout this section use the following rules:

  • Future actions use the latest estimated completion date

  • Completed actions use actual completed date

  • SDP Reviews use review start date

  • Management Reviews use review start date

  • Signals with no closed date use date detected

  • Closed Signals use closed date

  • Inquiries and Requests with no closed date use receipt date

  • Closed Inquiries and Requests use closed date
